Dr. Linda S. Weil

" I am a social person and I was interested in choosing a career where I could continue to talk with people and combine my interest in science and medicine. I found that opportunity in my girlfriend's father, who was an Optometrist in private practice. I saw him make a difference in people's lives by either treating eye diseases or helping them see more clearly."

Dr. Weil received her Doctor of Optometry degree from Illinois College of Optometry in 1986, completed her residency in Pediatrics and Binocular Vision and taught at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry and the University of Houston until joining a private practice in 1988. In 2000, she became a welcome addition to Eye Care Associates. While Dr. Weil enjoys working with children, she has a full scope practice which includes the fitting of contact lenses and the treatment and management of ocular diseases. She is DPA (Diagnostic) and TPA (Therapeutic) Certified and is a member of the American and Illinois Optometric Associations and the West Suburban Optometric Society.

Dr. Weil and her husband, Steven Silk, reside in Chicago with their son, Gabriel. When not at the office, Dr. Weil enjoys cooking for and entertaining friends, walking and hiking, reading and taking care of her family.
